Debate Night: Where is Joe the Plumber?

So, watching the debate seems a bit painful.  I am trying to understand why McCain, and his body language seems so entitled.  I watch as he rolls his eyes, make a point and the smiles but and seems to be talking about Joe the plumber so much.

McCain seems to be running hard on the issue that the economy is in the crapper and it is now the cornerstone of his platform and for every point he is making including all those directed at Joe the plumber.  Now, my take would be unless Joe has saved enough money to pay cash for his business that he wants to purchase, it may be tough for him to get a loan in today’s economy anyhow.  Just food for thought.

I also noticed that McCain went out of his way to point out that he is not President Bush and that if Obama wanted to run against him that he should have run 4 years ago… he then later goes on to point out things that were passed under Clinton… wonder if he wants to run against him?

Should be an intersting November 4th!

The Prefect Stranger? Really?

In his article “The Perfect Stranger” it seems as though Mr. Krauthammer is suggesting that unless you have prominent people from your past stand up and attest to your character that you are somehow not equipped to be President.

This is the same logic that ginsu and other novelty products use to make you feel better about buying them. You know the line, $19.95 with a money back guarantee…

It is as subjective as providing references for a job… who in their right mind would provide references that would not provide a glowing recommendation? I can get a handful of people from my past to stand up and tell the American people that I have great integrity and character too… does that qualify me to be President?

Fundraising Record Set

It is official. As if Obama has not been raising money faster than Billy Carter could put down a six pack, a new fundraising record was set for any Presidential candidiate to date. In the month of February the Obama campaign managed to squeak out $55 Million dollars. Not too shabby!
